Gas price hogwash:   Now every excuse is and will be made to jack up gasoline prices.  Unfortunately, the only ones affected most profoundly will be the middle, working class. Once the gasoline/petroleum cartel decided to put their plan to target the working class for extra billions of dollars into action, they simply did it.  This is as low and greedy as the power company who disconnects the power to an elderly person's home because the bill hasn't been paid and the elderly person freezes to death as a result.  I think an elderly person has paid enough in their lifetime supporting every idea that our country has come up with that required tax dollars, don't you?  These people who were integral in advancing our nation after the Great Depression should be lined up and mandatorily incinerated because cannot pay their utility bills, right?  Greed has completely consumed morality in this country.  What happened to seeking wisdom from our elderly instead of figuratively urinating on them because they are retired?

The working class is now penalized for every season of the year by oil barons who want to ruin your vacation by using the excuse that "this summer's increased fuel consumption will escalate gas prices".  What this amounts to is the average American that saves his or her money for vacation will be fleeced at the gas pump and be effectively penalized for taking a vacation.  In all likelihood, it will take a bite out of the fun that one has a right to have while on vacation.  One question here:  Do you think they care?  It's an excellent time to "stick it to the little guy", isn't it?  What these oil barons want is to set gasoline prices at what level they want whenever they want.  At what point does this break the working person's back?  I don't think its far off at this point because morning rush hour seems to be lighter on the traffic when gas prices go up.  Noticeably lighter.  It would be interesting to see what would happen if every working man and woman in America would simply park their cars and not buy a drop of fuel for a full week in protest to this horse malarkey and see what would happen to gas prices.  Let's recall that about three years ago, gas prices were around 1.79 per gallon.  How does the oil business make more money?  Get everyone dependent on oil and start lying!  Do they think we are stupid enough to believe billions and billions have to be recovered from working Americans because a hurricane damaged an off-shore oil refinery or forced them to shut them down?  It seems like six to eight months of escalated gas prices paid by all Americans is required to turn them back on!  Why not submerge them so they are below the hurricane?  Oh, I must apologize.  Ideas of this nature would decrease oil profits and potentially solve the problem.  But unfortunately, once a particular excuse for having to jack up gasoline prices has been tested on the taxpayers, it becomes a permanent excuse.  For example: "Sir, we lost a high-pressure hose off the oil rig in the hurricane.  It looks like we'll have to increase gas prices to pay for it!"  You would think with all those billions that a more bulletproof way to extract crude oil would be a good thing to consider.  But then there's the open wallets of the oil barons to consider as well and that's the most important thing, you know.

The American public, I believe, is almost to the point of demanding legitimate reasons for seemingly whimsical increases in gas prices.  Pretty soon, we may hear that someone in an oil field passed flatulence and the event has forced an escalation in the price of oil.  When will this madness end?  When no one can buy it anymore.  And when that happens, we can all stand in line for our government-issued tokens so that our children can eat.

August 31, 2008: This just in.  Further study into the behavioral characteristics of Redneck Whoopers have revealed that they become more brave and increase whooping when in numbers of more than one.  When only one Redneck Whooper is encountered, they appear docile and cowardly.  At this moment, further study is revealing that Redneck Whoopers also appear more confident when driving daddy's truck.  Updates will be posted as soon as more breakthroughs are discovered, so stay tuned...

March 19, 2008:  Cyclists Beware!  It seems that there is a growing phenomenon occurring among rednecks (we can, of course, assume they are uneducated) that appears to be an uncontrollable desire to yell and whoop the moment they pass cyclists in their pickups.  Since we are frequently witnessing these behavioral characteristics, one can also assume that this subspecies is lower primate and heretofore will be described as "Redneck Whoopers".  Look for these related characteristics when identifying Redneck Whoopers:

1.  Rolled-down windows on a pickup, double-wheeled back axle pickups, pulp wood truck or tow-truck.
2.  Paint on vehicle parts may not match the paint on other vehicle parts and reports of Bond-O present on these vehicles has also been noted.
3.  Passenger with elbow or whole arm hanging out of the rolled down window.
3.  Dirty fingernails, usually black and crescent shaped if viewed from a distance.
4.  Ratty, greasy hair and dirt-splotched muzzle.
5.  Characteristic whooping and yelling akin to a bird, specifically the buzzard but physical attributes demonstrate a possible link to Homo Neanderthalis and Homo Erectus or the evolved version of these two: Homo Redneckus Moronicus.

Ground-breaking studies are indicating that there may be deep-rooted, psychological aspects to this behavior from Redneck Whoopers.  The latest news indicates that the wanton desire to whoop at cyclists stems from a confusion in the Redneck Whooper's mind that triggers an inability to suppress his secret desire to look at the cyclist's shorts.
