My great grandmother, Sarah Lillie Spencer, has a long line of ancestors.  I owe my grandmother, Eula Estelle Fountain Rowe (b. March 20, 1903, d. February 21, 1994), an eternal debt of gratitude for her early history of the Rowes and Spencers.  This is her continued research because without her contribution, none of this would have been known.  She has left us a priceless gift and I dedicate this to her.  Like her, I will leave our ancestry to my descendants.  Here is a list of our notable ancestors and relatives.  I have listed them using a chronological timeline, not necessary by their births because of how they descend into our bloodline.  I have tried to faithfully ensure that these images of my ancestors are in the public domain and are not copyrighted in the United States.  In places where that does not apply, I have made appropriate attribution to the author.

This compilation is and continues to be a time-consuming and complicated task and at the same time, a wonderful journey.  None of the titles below are strictly defined to their categories because of intermarriages that changed dynasties, houses and types of rule.  They are more defined by how my actual ancestors fall into each line.  For example, the Merovingian Franks are not completely recorded here. They descend to where my ancestry branches off as it makes it way towards me.  Basically stated, out of each category listed below, only my ancestors are depicted and this causes overlap of some of the houses and dynasties. Please bear in mind some areas are incomplete and this is a work in progress.

After 22 years of genealogy research, this is proof-positive that persistence pays off.  Meet the family.
